Coyhaique
Coihaique is the regional capital of Aysén, where every visitor to Aysén must pass through. In Coihaique, there is the Museo Regional de Aysén Museum, which contains many documents of history and ecology. You may visit the museum to be informed about what to expect in the region.

Tortel is a village built from a wooden boardwalk and located on the bank of the Baker River. In this Southern part of the region, Entre Hielos is a beautiful lodge in the village. Getting to the lodge requires a long climb up, but it is a worthy climb for its tranquility.
After food has been served on a communal table, Maria Paz Hargreaves, the lodge owner, takes you around and to La Isla de Los Muertos with a boat to see the tombs of the first settlers of the region.
