Mild Cheer As Jamaica Witnesses Massive Growth In Holiday Arrivals.

Share

Good news as Jamaica reopens its borders, and just a few months after reopening, in November 2020, it had about 30,000 tourists visit. Also, Jamaica celebrates thrice the number of tourists it had in November, with December 2020 accruing about 98,000 visitors in total. A huge feat, right? Right. This gives credence to the fact that Jamaica is one hot, stunning treasure spot for tourists globally.

This also means it is mandatory (of course, this isn’t compulsive) that you put a trip to Jamaica on your bucket list. Asides from the tremendous seaside view, beautiful lasses, coconut drink treatment, and warm weather, you get to meet great and unique people who, just like you, came to enjoy the beauty which is Jamaica.

Did you know that Jamaica is a country in the Caribbean? Oh, no, don’t tell me you don’t? You do now. People mistake Jamaica Plain, Boston, a neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A., to be Jamaica, but that’s false. Jamaica is instead a country than it is a place or a neighborhood. Jamaica is very much a country, and it’ll be ratchet not to say Jamaica with its beauty of the land, seas, language (which of course is called Patwa), people, all an experience one shouldn’t have to miss is but a neighborhood than a country.

Usually, Jamaica gets tourists totaling 21,000 travelers by plane, says the Jamaican Tourist Board (J.T.B). The Board celebrates a record-high seven-day travel period between the 23rd and 28th of December 2020. What brought about these 21,000 people in such a short space? This country, Jamaica, of course.

“The Christmas holiday provided the destination the well-needed boost,” says Donovan White, Jamaica’s Director of Tourism. “Everyone remains optimistic and believes the winter of 2020/2021 will recover the destination.”

So are you going to jump right in on this lifetime opportunity, or would you rather have your regrets best served on a plate? I think the former is your best, accurate choice of response to this.

I am sure the Jamaicans are waiting to give you a warm welcome.
