Description of Scholarship
The Karen McKellin International leader of tomorrow award is an international award for undergraduate students who show excellent academics accomplishments. The scholarship is awarded to students who engage in student affairs, have leadership skills, provide necessary community skills, and demonstrates achievements in other essential areas.

General Eligibility Requirements
To be considered eligible, you must:
- Be an international student who will be studying in Canada on a Canadian study permit.
- Be entering the university of British Columbia from a recognized academy (university or college)
- Be applying for an undergraduate degree
- Meet the admission eligibility requirements for the University of British Columbia, general and degree-specific requirements, and the English language admission standard
- show exceptional excellence in your academics at least an A average or a comparable standard
- show a level of financial need that would aid you in pursuing your university of British Columbia degree; otherwise prevent you from attaining the degree

Scholarship Value
The award value depends on the proportionality of your financial need. The financial need is ascertained by adding your tuition fees, living costs and subtracting it from the financial contribution you/your family can raise each year.
A standard needs assessment for the University of British Columbia is centered on the financial info. Provided by you/your family for the period of the award.
For degree completion or undergraduate study, your award may be renewed for up to three additional years of study. Providing you had attained a satisfactory academic position in your department of faculty, continue maintaining your student visa (study permit), and continue demonstrating your financial need.
