Eligibility Requirement 

  1. The applicant must possess academic certificates from recognized and accredited institutions. He must have outstanding academic grades in his Bachelor’s degree. That is a minimum of “very good” in their academic certificate.
  1. Ph.D. and masters candidates who apply for the King Abdulaziz University from regions that do not have English as their first Language must be given a test. The recognized exams to test the candidate’s level of proficiency and their minimum score are stated below:
  • TOEFL (paper-based test)= 500
  • TOEFL( Internet-based test) = 61
  • TOEFL (paper-based test) =173
  • IELTS              ==                         5
  1. The candidate must be one with a sound moral character.
  2. The applicant must be fit medically.
  3. Candidates must be able to meet the admission requirement of King Abdulaziz University.

Female students must have a relative or someone they know who is a permanent resident in Saudi Arabia

Age restriction: 35 years for Ph.D., 30 for Master and 25 for bachelors

Scholarship Worth

Apart from a full tuition waiver, beneficiaries of the king Abdulaziz university scholarship will be entitled to the following packages:

  • Sr 900 monthly stipend
  • Sr 1000 per month ( Research Assistant). One contact per semester
  • Sr 1,800 preparation allowance for students who are coming to Saudi Arabia for the first time. 
  • Health insurance
  • Provision for an apartment
  • Food supplies on subsidized rate.
  • The sum of Sr 4,000 will be given to Ph.D. students and Sr 3,000 to Master’s students to print their theses.
  • The sum of 2,500 will be disbursed to beneficiaries to ship their books upon graduation.
  • A paid flight ticket to and from Saudi Arabia.

The applicants for the King Abdulaziz university scholarship will first apply to the King Abdulaziz University for admission in one of the accredited courses.
