About award

The publications writing in the new millennium writing hub are open twice a year for applicants. They are giving four prizes of $1000 for each publication of a poem, a work of flash fiction, a story, and creative nonfictional prose.

About the new millennium writing

For over 22 years, the NMW has made it a concern to encourage, give grants, and publish poets and writers. The program started by Don Williams in 1966 has now published over 2000 emerging and established writers in conjunction with conferences and reports of the greatest writers of our time.

Eligibility work

Applicants are to

  • Previously unpublished works or works that have surfaced in a journal with under 5000 circulations.

Note: the editors will judge the written work

  • Submit up to three poems in total
  • Submit poems not more than five pages (5pg) in total
  • Submit a work of fiction or creative nonfiction writing
  • submit writing of nonfiction up to 7,499 words
  • submit writing of flash-fiction up to 1,000 words
  • pay an entry fee of $20
  • meet requirements before 31st January
