Scholarship Competition Lets Potential Students in | The College of Idaho

Share

During the Scholarship Competition, students choose a day and time to visit the College, where they will complete a written exam and have an interview with a professor. After lunch in Simplot Dining Hall, the student is given a campus tour. Interested students can sign up for available timeslots here. According to Gomide, the selection process concerns a candidate’s fit at the College more than their knowledge.

The annual salary for competition winners is $2,500, while the yearly salary of runners-up is $1,000. Each kid that participates will get a minimum of $500 annually.

About The Scholarship Competition

The scholarship competition demonstrates the Foundation’s and the family’s longstanding, steadfast support of The College of Idaho. The J.A. Albertson Activities Centre and the Kathryn Albertson International Centre, two campus facilities bearing the family’s name, are proudly named after them.

The College of Idaho boasts a 133-year history of distinction. The College is renowned for its top-notch academic offerings, competitive athletics heritage, and track record of admitting accomplished alums, such as three governors, eight Rhodes Scholars, and many entrepreneurs and business executives.

With the help of its unique PEAK Curriculum, which pushes students to become proficient in the social sciences, natural sciences, humanities, and a professional field—four knowledge peaks—they can complete four years of study with a major and three minors. Caldwell, home to the College’s intimate residential campus, provides exceptional possibilities for learning beyond the classroom due to its proximity to Boise and the world-class recreational activities offered by the mountains and rivers of southwest Idaho. Application Process for the Scholarship Competition

Applications for the College of Western Idaho (CWI) Foundation scholarship for the 2024–2025 academic year are now being accepted. This academic year, the College granted over 900 scholarships to students in educational and career-technical programmes.

Scholarships are a fantastic way for C.W.I. students to get financial assistance. Here are tips on maximizing your chances of winning a scholarship in 2024.

Students can apply for scholarships based on several factors, including their field of study, membership in underrepresented groups, place of residence, and proof of financial need.

Scholarships from the College, the CWI Foundation, the State of Idaho, and other external organisations are often nonrepayable.

With only one application, C.W.I. scholarship applications are simple to submit. Students can self-select scholarships of interest from over 10,000 external scholarship options and automatically generate scholarship matching through one scholarship application.

Students who want to apply for a scholarship at C.W.I. must respond to a brief series of questions. Following that, students are paired with scholarships for which they qualify. While most scholarships are given to qualified students automatically, others need extra paperwork, such as an essay or letter of recommendation.

Scholarship Application Periods: 2024–2025

With awarding cycles in April, August, and December, the contest is open until November 30.
