All applicants are being welcomed to the 19^th yearly Tom Howard and Margaret Reid poetry contest for 2021. Submit published or unpublished works.

Eligibility Requirements 

Eligible Countries/ Regions: all countries except Syria, Iran, North Korea, and Crimeadue to US government restrictions

• Gender Restrictions: No gender restrictions  
• Age Restrictions: No age restrictions  

General Eligibility Requirements

• The poem length limit is 250 lines maximum per poem
• Submission of 1-2 poems is 15$ each
• Enter via submittable

Note you can write as much as you wish        

Scholarship Value

• tom Howard price is $3000 for any poem and in any style
• Margaret Reid’s fee is $3000 for any poem that rhymes or has traditional styling in it.
• The top two winners will receive two-year certificates as gifts from co-sponsor duotrope https://duotrope.com/ of $100 value
• Honorable mentions of 10 awards of $200 each in any style
• Made the top 12 entries published online
