About The University of Cumbria Virtual Internships Partnership

Virtual Internships is the top platform for internship placements that ensures student placements across the globe. Virtual Internships eliminate the traditional obstacles to internships through collaborations with universities, governments, and non-profit organizations, enabling students to access relevant job opportunities regardless of their background or location.

New graduates are required to have appropriate industrial experience, and the program, which starts in May 2024, gives them access to Virtual Internships’ extensive worldwide network of 15,000+ host organizations across 80+ countries that operate in a range of industries.

Thanks to this broad reach, students will be placed in their field of interest regardless of their location or background.

Emma Bales, Director of Student Services at the University of Cumbria, stated, “We recognize the value of providing our students with career-enhancing development opportunities in an ever-changing global job market.”

“The purpose of these internships is to help students broaden their minds, experience working in a different culture without having to leave their homes and acquire employable skills that will ease their move into graduate roles. We are very happy that the internships can fit into our students’ hectic schedules because they are offered online.”

How The Program Would Be Implemented

Undergraduate students at the University of Cumbria will be paired with an organization for a 120-hour remote internship, depending on their career interests and objectives.
