The Planning Inspectorate Chair position has been officially filled by Ben Alexander, following an announcement from Housing and Planning Minister Matthew Pennycook. Alexander’s tenure will begin on 1 July 2026 and is set to last for four years. Furthermore, Minister Pennycook has granted a one-year extension to the terms of two current board members, Adrian Penfold and Oliver Munn, extending their service to September 2027.
