Due to the coronavirus outbreak, strict travel restrictions were imposed in Montenegro. Although there seems to be a decline in the number of new covid-19 cases, the country is not fully open to receive visitors.

However, if you are a Montenegro citizen in another country, you are allowed to return to Montenegro.

The following guidelines apply:

  • There have been less than 25 confirmed cases from 100,000 persons tested for persons coming from a country with a low spread. Self-isolation or quarantine is not necessary for individuals or groups coming from this low activity zone.
  • In a situation where the traveler comes from a zone where there has been high Covid activity; more than 25 confirmed cases out of every 100,000 persons tested. Persons coming from this zone are required to self-isolate. During this time, a Covid test is carried out, and the quarantine measure is revoked after 14days if the result comes out negative.
