Arakan Army Massacre – Two years after the Arakan Army, an ethnic militant organization, devastated the lives of hundreds of Rohingya Muslims and destroyed their village in Myanmar’s Rakhine State, survivors are still unable to return to their homes. Many continue to be effectively held captive, according to a report released today by Human Rights Watch. The Arakan Army denied any responsibility for the massacre at Hoyyar Siri (Htan Shauk Khan in Burmese), a tragic event that constituted severe violations of wartime laws and amounted to war crimes.
