The F.L. McEwen Scholarship in Sustainable Agriculture

International students interested in pursuing a career in sustainable agriculture should consider applying for the F.L. McEwen Scholarship. This scholarship is established in recognition of the contributions of F.L. McEwen, who served as Dean of the Ontario Agricultural College (OAC) from 1983 to 1990.

The scholarship is available to students who are entering a full-time master’s program in a department or school of the OAC and have an interest in the field of agriculture. Preference will be given first to students with research interests in sustainable agriculture and second to those who have participated in extracurricular activities in this area.

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have graduated from any undergraduate degree program offered by the OAC. The scholarship is worth $5,000 and will be awarded to one student.

The application process for the scholarship is simple. To apply, students should submit the OAC Graduate Application Form by August 15th. The application form can be found on the OAC website.

It is important to note that the scholarship is only available to students classified as international fee-paying students by the University. The scholarship will be awarded on an unconditional basis, but it is not linked to the course application status.
