The Southern Foundation Housing Scholarships provide opportunities for students In Florida A&M University

Share

The Southern foundation housing scholarship is here to relieve housing burdens and lower the cost of tuition for students who are in need and have financial difficulties.

The cost of college might be high. Meal plans, books, and tuition may add to a substantial financial burden over four years of college.

On a college campus, housing is considered the most costly after tuition. Housing at Florida A&M University can be expensive, particularly for families with special needs or financial difficulties, with an average cost of $3,000

About The Southern Foundation Housing Scholarships

On the Southern Scholarship Foundation website, it is said that hundreds of students with exceptional academic ability, moral integrity, and financial need have benefited from SSF in realizing their goal of attending college.

To give students with financial difficulties an opportunity for a bright future, the SSF has worked with several institutions, including Tallahassee Community College, Florida State University, Florida A&M University, The University of Florida, Santa Fe College, and Florida Gulf Coast University.

Teresa Turner, an S.S.F. alumna, thinks the award represents much more.

If the Southern Scholarship Foundation had a symbol other than SSF, it would be Saving Someone Forever.

The Southern Foundation Housing Scholarships Application

Students must be enrolled in one of the affiliated colleges, have a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or better, have completed the FAFSA, received a letter of reference, and be under 25 years old to be eligible for this award. If you fulfill all the conditions, this scholarship is intended for you; it can change your life and save you money. Therefore, don’t delay too long—the housing deadline for the following fall semester is April 1.

In addition to housing, the SSF provides additional resources, including opportunities for leadership and growth, community social events, meals hosted at home, and much more.

Kiran Lalani, a former beneficiary, believes that choosing SSF was the finest choice she has ever made.

“I can assure you that when I graduate from SSF, I will have many lifelong friends and no student loans.”
