Train driver injury occurred around 00:45 on 28 April 2026, during a shunting operation at Carstairs station in South Lanarkshire. The incident involved two segments of the Caledonian Sleeper service: train 1C11 from Edinburgh and train 1M11 from Glasgow. After coupling the two parts, the locomotive from train 1C11 was detached, allowing the combined train to proceed south towards London Euston.
