Wayne Community Foundation is Accepting Applications for Scholarships.

Seniors at area high schools are encouraged to apply for the Wayne Community Foundation 2024 scholarships.

For over 30 years, the foundation has helped local students pursue their academic goals. It oversees more than 50 scholarships at the moment, and more are added each year. The foundation offers a few scholarships for students in other locations, as well as for adult learners and children, in addition to those intended for high school students in Wayne County.

About The Wayne Community Foundation Scholarships Application

Online submissions of applications are accepted at their official website. April 1st is the deadline. Based on the data they submit, applicants will be automatically assessed for particular scholarships. Certain scholarships call for essays or further information.

What should I do in order to apply for scholarships from the Wayne Community Foundation Scholarships?

In order to apply for a scholarship, candidates must:

Fill out the online Federal Student Aid Application (FAFSA) and submit it.

When is the deadline for Foundation of WCC scholarship applications?

For applicants of the Bison Benefit, March 1–March 31

For seniors in high school who are ineligible or missed the deadline for the Bison Benefit Scholarship, the application period is from March 1 to May 31. For any other candidate, April 1–May 31.

What is the Scholarship for Bison Benefit?

Free tuition for four semesters to support Career and College Promise Students that graduate from high school and enrol in Wayne Community College

Wayne Community Foundation Scholarships Qualifications

  1. Obtain a high school diploma from a public, private, charter, or homeschool school.
  2. At Wayne Community College, get a C or above by completing six CCP credits.
    When you graduate from high school, enrol as a full-time student the following autumn semester.covers in-state tuition and fees that are not reimbursed by other scholarships or financial aid.
  3. To renew every semester, keep your college GPA at 2.8 or above.

No vacation during the summer months between semesters
Participate in the annual autumn Bison Benefit Information Session. We’ll email you the details.
WCC has the ability to set a cap on the total number of awards. Apply as soon as possible!

How soon will I know the status of my application?

You will be contacted before graduation if you are a senior in high school and apply by April 30.

For the Fall and Spring Scholarships, you will hear back by the end of July if you are not a high school senior OR if you apply after April 31.

What kinds of financial aid opportunities are there?

All of the scholarships that are currently available through our online application are limited to curricular (college credit) courses. Speak with a WCE adviser if you’re interested in receiving funding for Workforce Continuing Education (WCE) courses.

How can I submit an application for a particular scholarship?

  • Applications for particular scholarships are not available.
  • Each student must submit an application using the same form. You will be matched to a particular scholarship based on the information you have supplied.
  • Based on the data submitted in the student’s application, the WCC Foundation makes an effort to pair each student with the greatest scholarship options.

What costs are paid for by a scholarship from the Foundation?

Scholarship money is given out for education. Any financial aid that WCC provides you will be subtracted from your starting balance. You bear the responsibility of paying any outstanding fees.
