Woman’s Club is Looking For Applicants For Scholarships

Date:

A number of $1,000 scholarships are being offered by the Woods Hole Woman’s Club to high school students who will be attending college in Falmouth’s Precinct One once they graduate to.  Applicants For Scholarships should log on the club’s website, and at guidance offices in local schools. The scholarship committee must receive the completed applications by March 11 at the latest.

The Woods Hole Woman’s Club has been offering scholarships since 1927 as a component of their community commitment. Since 1980, scholarships have been given to 146 Precinct One seniors who are graduating.

What Applicants For The Scholarships Need To Know

Full-time Canyon Lake residents are eligible to apply for scholarships through the Canyon Lake Woman’s Club; the deadline is April 14. Students who have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or above and who have lived in Canyon Lake full-time for at least six months previous to enrolling are eligible for these yearly awards. Both recent high school graduates and ongoing college students are eligible for the scholarship programme.

Applying or learning more information may be obtained by contacting club scholarship chairwoman Debra Sacks at [email protected].

Students must submit an online application and email Debra the following materials in one email in order to be eligible for the scholarships: Two recommendation letters, current transcripts, evidence of enrollment (for college-bound students) or SAT results (for high school students), and a personal letter outlining any obstacles to the applicant’s education should all be sent.

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club Scholarship Committee will be conducting phone interviews or in-person interviews with applicants the week of April 22–26 (after 3:00 p.m.).
