The party has committed to abolishing the route to indefinite leave to remain (ILR) after just five years, should it win the next general election. Under this proposed UK immigration reform proposal, migrants would need to reapply for new visas under stricter regulations, eliminating the current system that allows residents to live, work, and access benefits in the UK without time limitation.
