Starting from 31 May 2026, millions of passengers will enjoy more reliable and accountable journeys as GTR becomes part of the rapidly expanding family of publicly owned operators. Responsible for one in six rail journeys across Britain, GTR serves the South East with an extensive network that caters to hundreds of millions of passengers every year.
