The scholarship provides a range of awards, including a $5,000 grand prize and $1,000 runner-up prizes, to help students further their education and learning in Python programming.

Python is one of the most widely used programming languages in the world, making it an essential skill for students in a variety of disciplines. DataCamp is committed to democratizing data skills globally and this scholarship is aimed at helping students of all ages and backgrounds to learn this vital technical skill for free. The scholarship is open to all students currently enrolled in secondary school, post-secondary school, or a postgraduate degree program who do not have a post-secondary degree in computer science, data science, data analytics, or a related field of study.

The scholarship application process begins with filling out a brief application form on the DataCamp website. Once the form is submitted, participants will create a free DataCamp account, complete the free Introduction to Python and Introduction to SQL courses, and then use their new knowledge to complete two challenges and submit their responses. The scholarship winner and runners-up will be announced on or around May 1st, 2023, and will be directly contacted before this date.

The scholarship selection criteria are based on your score on the scholarship challenge, with the highest-scoring entrant deemed the winner. In case of a tie, DataCamp reserves the right to determine the winner based on other criteria, such as XP. This scholarship is a great opportunity for students to gain valuable skills and further their education and learning in Python programming.
