About award
The award is for poetry and literary arts at the Stadler center at Bucknell University. It is given yearly to fiction and nonfiction writers working on a first or second book.
The Philip Roth residence in creative writing was named for Bucknell’s well-known literary alumnus and originated in 1993. The Stadler Center will accept applications for the 2021 and 2022 Roth residences, august to December for the 2021 session, and January to May for the 2022 session
Eligibility
- Countries and region: residents of Philip Roth
- Age restrictions: No age restriction
- Gender restrictions: no gender restrictions
Through an online submission system, applicants are to
- Submit up to 20 pages of prose
- Submit a curriculum vitae
- Three letters of recommendation on or before 1st February
- Note that Only writers of fiction and/or literary nonfiction
