Description

The TechGirls programme 2021, designed for young women in stem, is open for young women to participate in the interactive computer and technology camp. In line with women from the united state to join a tech corporation for a day job and participating in community service initiatives. 

The TechGirls management had trained and mentored 186 teenage girls of 15-17 years of age since 2012. Most girls are encircled from Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestinian territories, Tunisia, Algeria, and yamen. 

The program is a three-week core program experience in the united states. There is a TechGirls multiplier effect- inspiring others in their local community to pursue the program stem.

Eligibility for the TechGirls Programme

Eligibility requirements

  1. Girls that showed improved skills and an interest in engineering, technology, with/or math in their educational experience
  2. Girls that propose to pursue further education with/or careers in engineering or technology
  3. Girls with strong language skills in English 
  4. Girls that show flexibility, open-mindedness, and maturity 
  5. Girls that are devoted to completing a society-based scheme upon their home return
  6. Preferences are provided for those who have restricted or no prior experience within the united states
  7. Girls that have subsequently journeyed to the united states in the last three years as part of any other trade or exchange program are not qualified for this one.
  • Eligible Countries: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestinian territories, the United States, Tunisia, Egypt, Tajikistan, Algeria, and other countries except for the Middle East and North African Countries.
  • Age Restriction: Girls ranging from 15 to 17 years are the age-grades needed to start the program
  • Gender Restriction: Females only

Value of Internship

  • Roundtrip international airfare from participant home country to the United States
  • accommodations throughout the program are sponsored
  • Double occupancy hotel or dormitory accommodations
  • A complete square meal is being taken care of featuring the Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
