Description of Scholarship

The Africa Scholarship Program (ASP) is an initiative of the Wageningen University and Research. This scholarship aims to render support to students who have displayed a high level of intelligence and ingenuity. The Africa scholarship program is a fully sponsored scholarship opportunity for masters students. This scholarship aims to contribute to capacity building in Africa. This is why the scholarship awarding body is inviting some of Africa’s best minds to take advantage of this life-changing opportunity.

The beneficiaries of this scholarship Beneficiaries of the African Scholarship program will have the honor of pursuing two years of the fully sponsored masters program. The master’s program will be done at Wageningen University and Research.

The Africa scholarship program is a merit-based scholarship opportunity. It is strictly based on invitation and recommendation. African students who are admitted to Wageningen university will be selected for this scholarship. The criteria for selection will be based on their excellent academic records.

Eligibility Requirements

  •  Beneficiaries must meet the following criteria if they are to qualify for this scholarship. 
  • You must be a native of any of the African countries.
  • You must be highly motivated and success-driven.
  • You must be committed to community development.
  • You must have outstanding academic records.
  • You must be a first-class graduate or have A CGPA of 80% and above in your first degree.
  • You must have applied for a Master’s program at Wageningen University and Research on or before 1 February 2021.

Value of scholarship

The beneficiaries of the African scholarship program are entitled to the following:

  • Full school fee coverage for the two years program.
  • Flight ticket in and out of Wageningen
  • Visa cost coverage
  • Health insurance coverage
  •  Living expenses throughout the two years program.
  • The beneficiaries will have the privilege of taking part in the “reach your full potential program.”  
  • The beneficiary will be sponsored to attend a world-class conference in Europe.

  • A resume’ or curriculum vitae.  
  • A personal statement of motivation.
